Deze entry-level notebook is hét instapmodel voor notebooks, door zijn eenvoud aantrekkelijk geprijsd, zowel voor zakelijk als privé doeleinden goed te gebruiken. Flexibiliteit door upgrade-mogelijkheden is zijn kenmerk, maar ook het huis-tuin-en-keuken gebruik, wat betreft bijvoorbeeld tekstverwerken en internetten, kan hij goed voor ingezet worden in de simpelste configuraties.
Door zijn 15.4" schermformaat en met een gewicht van slechts ca. 2.6kg (incl. accu) ligt het accent (naast totale kostprijs) op portabiliteit en compactheid, zonder dat dit ten koste gaat van processor performance of beeldschermkwaliteit. Onder de motorkap ligt een Intel Core (2) Duo gebaseerde chipset, zodat deze notebook ook high-end mobiele notebooks van grotere formaten kan bijhouden. Aanvullend is deze notebook standaard uitgevoerd met een DVD±RW Dual Layer DVD-brander, 7-in-1 Cardreader en Webcam.
